“Pre-finished” describes a door that arrives with a coating or colour treatment already applied, but the phrase does not describe every part of the finish system. A useful specification names the visible colour, sheen, sample or reference, the surfaces included, expected variation and the care required after installation.
Ask what has actually been finished
Confirm whether the finish applies to the leaf only or also to the frame, beads, edges, top, bottom, threshold and fixed panels.
