What to include in your custom door quote

A useful quotation starts with the opening and the look you want to achieve. Tell us whether you are planning a front entry, an interior doorway or a wider entrance with a pair of doors. You can use a design from our exterior door collection as a reference, or upload your own inspiration. A product photo helps explain the style; the final package still needs to be confirmed for your project.

Opening measurements and configuration

Include the approximate width and height and say whether you measured the existing door, the frame or the full structural opening. Tell us if you need a single door, double doors, sidelights beside the door or a transom above it. Straight-on photographs and a simple sketch can make an unusual opening easier to review. Final dimensions and the frame arrangement should be checked with your builder or installer before production details are approved.

Timber, glass, finish and hardware

Describe the timber appearance, colour and design details you prefer. For glazed doors, share whether you want a clear view, more privacy or a decorative glass pattern. Mention any handles, locks, hinges or other hardware you already have in mind, and identify which items you expect the quotation to include. For an exterior position, explain whether the entrance is sheltered or exposed so the team can review suitable options with you. Delivery location and project timing

Ask the team to confirm the delivery scope and estimated timing for your order before you make arrangements with other trades.
